Building your first widget

Create a widget that matches your brand and hook up your most important contact channels in just a few minutes.

A widget is the floating contact button that appears on your website. In the dashboard you create one, pick a style, add buttons and tweak the colours.

Step 1, Create a new widget

On the dashboard, click 'Create Widget' at the top right. You'll get an empty design that's ready to be customised.

The dashboard with a created widget, from here you jump into the editor.

Step 2, Name the widget

Use an internal name like 'Main site' or 'Webshop'. Visitors never see this name, but once you have several widgets it will help you tell them apart.

Step 3, Customise the widget

The widget editor, settings on the left, live preview on the right.
  • Position, bottom left or right, whichever you prefer
  • Primary Color, your brand colour (use the picker or paste a hex value)
  • Widget language, the language in which the widget's labels appear
  • Widget Active, turns the widget on or off on your site

The preview on the right updates live, so you can experiment freely without breaking anything.

Step 4, Add buttons

Click 'Add Button' and pick a type: WhatsApp, phone, email, form, Calendly, social media or a custom link. Fill in the details (a phone number for the call button, for example) and save.

A good starting point is three buttons: WhatsApp, phone and email. Too many buttons distract visitors.
